Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using ActivateOperator (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms form a binding agreement between you and ActivateOperator.

2. Description of service

ActivateOperator is an AI-powered career intelligence platform that helps experienced professionals with job search positioning, application material generation, and opportunity monitoring. The Service includes features across two tiers:

  • Free — Operator Analysis Report, one Pursuit Bundle, Operator Profile Assessment, and Pipeline Tracker
  • Pro — all Free features plus unlimited Pursuit Bundles, Opportunity Monitor, Callback Package, and priority generation

3. AI-generated content

The Service uses large language models (including Anthropic's Claude) to generate documents such as resumes, cover letters, and outreach messages. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing all generated content before submitting it to employers or third parties
  • We make no guarantee that generated content will result in interviews, job offers, or any particular outcome
  • Generated content is a starting point, not a final product — your judgment and edits are essential

4. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You may not share your account or use the Service on behalf of others without their explicit consent.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to generate misleading, fraudulent, or defamatory content
  • Upload or transmit content that violates any law or third-party rights
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or access the Service in ways not intended by normal use
  • Resell or redistribute Service outputs as your own AI product
  • Use the Service in ways that abuse or circumvent usage limits

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the career data, resume content, and other information you upload. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process and store that content for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it to train AI models without your explicit consent.

7. Subscriptions and billing

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Additional terms:

  • Prices may change with 30 days' notice to your registered email
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Pro access until then
  • We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods
  • Payment processing is handled by Stripe; their terms also apply

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI outputs will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. Job search outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ActivateOperator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost job opportunities, lost income, or any other losses arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time from the profile page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases and we will delete your data per our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice in the Service. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
