1. Who we are

ActivateOperator (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a career intelligence platform that helps experienced professionals position themselves, build application materials, and run strategic job searches. Our registered contact address is eric@activateoperator.com.

2. What we collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated as you use the service:

• Account data — your name, email address, and authentication credentials
• Career data — your resume, work history, skills, location, and compensation targets that you upload or enter
• Intake answers — your responses to the onboarding questionnaire about your job search goals
• Assessment responses — your answers to the personality assessment (IPIP-50 scale)
• Opportunity data — job descriptions you paste and notes you add to your pipeline
• Payment data — billing information handled by Stripe; we do not store card numbers
• Usage data — log data, IP addresses, and feature interactions collected automatically

3. How we use your data

• Generating your Operator Analysis Report, Pursuit Bundles, and other AI-produced documents
• Personalizing AI outputs using your career background, assessment results, and stated preferences
• Running the Opportunity Monitor to surface and score relevant job postings
• Sending transactional emails (bundle ready notifications, password reset)
• Processing subscription payments and managing your account plan
• Improving the service through aggregated, de-identified usage analytics

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data to train AI models unless you explicitly opt in.

4. Third-party services

We share data with the following processors only to the extent necessary to provide the service:

• Supabase — database and authentication (data stored in US region)
• Anthropic — AI document generation (your career data and job descriptions are sent to Claude models; Anthropic's API data usage policy applies)
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Apify — job listing data for the Opportunity Monitor (Pro feature)
• Vercel — application hosting and edge infrastructure
• Inngest — background job orchestration

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format

7. Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication and functionality. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookie settings in your browser, though disabling cookies will prevent you from logging in.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted data transmission (TLS), row-level security on our database, and limited access controls. No system is completely secure — please choose a strong password and contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
